TOKYOSEND

Outdoor and travel gear with social impact.

our origin Story

We are a small company with heavy roots in the rock climbing and mountaineering world. Our story began by writing creative and inclusive rock climbing guidebooks in Ontario, Canada, backed by an enthusiastic community through our Kickstarter campaigns. Soon after, we expanded into creating rock climbing accessories and goods. Climbing is a problem-solving sport, and we  realized that we can solve real-life problems through climbing-inspired products for daily use, taking note of the quality and durability of well-made equipment.

We celebrate that rock climbing is part of the Olympics now, starting with Tokyo 2020! がんばれ!

your feedback improves us

innovation loop

We don’t believe in perfection but rather constant improvement. Just like climbing equipment, we test our products in real-life so we can start of with a bang. With engineering backgrounds, we’ve learned the importance of the feedback loop, and this means we heavily rely on the support of you, the customer. By giving us constructive feedback, we can make each product better, or we can add new features to open up new possibilities. We need your feedback!

social impact

Climbing and mountaineering has taken us all around the world – Nepal, the Philippines, Mexico, Ethiopia, Morocco, and more. Along our travels, we realized the privilege we have had to be in all these wonderful places, and now are ambitiously attempting to use our platform to make a positive impact in less fortunate countries. We are currently working on a project to employ disabled and disadvantaged women in Morocco. Stay tuned or follow us on Instagram for more.

Geeking out

We don't believe that being a climber means being a "hard man". That's an outdated identity. You can be whatever you wish and climb whatever discipline you want. As such we have no qualms about our love of Japanese otaku (geek) culture. You'll see it in our designs and graphics.
